Will this work if my cat is only a little overweight?

Yes. Weight Support Complex is built for the cat carrying an extra 2 pounds as much as the one carrying 8. On a 10-pound cat, 2 extra pounds is like 30 on a person, so "a little round" is more than it looks. Do I have to take the bowl away?
